Issue Ten is Out Now
(plus join us for our Christmas t'ARTopia)
In this month’s newsletter we introduce the latest issue of our magazine, share details of our last event of the year, plus a reminder of our submission call for trans writers and artists!
t’ART Magazine: Issue Ten
t’ART Magazine: Issue Ten is full of writing and art from creatives around the world all responding to this issue’s theme ‘Empty / Full’, and it is officially out now!
Our contributors tell us stories fit to bursting, offer us artwork laced with gaps, give us poetry punctuated by silence, creative non-fiction that runs off the page. They fill us up, empty themselves out, hollow and stopper.
Take a look inside:
Event Reminder: t’ARTopia - Wednesday 17th December
Don’t miss our last event of the year! Join us on 17th December at VFD in Dalston for a queer-curated night of drag, comedy, poetry, cabaret and music from some of our most delicious t’ARTs.
As always we will be raising money for gender affirming surgery funds with the evening’s raffle, so you’ll have the opportunity to win art and raise money for good causes!
Submission Call Reminder: Trans Tongues, volume four
Volume Four of our sold-out mini-journal series ‘Trans Tongues’ is open for submissions. Each volume features the work of trans and/ or non-binary writers, with artwork by trans and/ or non-binary visual artists featured on the front and back covers.
Deadline: Midnight, Sunday 21st December
Creative Spotlight
In every newsletter we spotlight one of our recently published works. Today we are spotlighting ‘brined’ by Al Kramer which is published in our Autumn Edition.
“You keep buying pearls. Pearls you can’t afford. From an online auction.
There’s a rush in buying up to the limit of your funds. Maybe you would hit the bottom of your bank account. Maybe you’d lose everything. Maybe you’d finally get kicked out of your apartment, on the lam with pearls for teeth and toes.”
Publication Spotlight
And last but not least, in each newsletter we remind you of one of our lovely publications for sale on our website.
For our eighth edition, artists and writers responded to our theme ‘Soft / Hard’.
Our contributors shared their tenderest moments, hard melting to soft like butter and things solidifying, concrete and metal and meadows.
They spoke about how we protect ourselves, about difficult things and sexy things. They offered us characters who are hard to reach and artworks that feel soft against our skin, tough brushstrokes and floppy sculptures.
You will receive a link to download the PDF in the thank you page of the checkout, along with an emailed link that will last for 30 days.
